Conversations about Authenticity

What to Expect

Womxn of Color Summit: The Art of Authentic Living is a virtual 6-day summit taking place from February 23 to February 28, 2021.

Winter is the season to go inwards, where we tenderly care for our energy by storing it for the next cycle, spring, so that we may bloom. Going inwards can bring up the full spectrum of emotions, including sadness, anxiety, and grief wounds. We understand that this season can be tough for folx, and we intend the summit to be a safe container for collective healing. We will acknowledge, sit with, and ultimately, transform our emotional energies so that we remember our innate power and worth.

Each day of the Summit, speakers and workshop facilitators will explore a daily theme that will take you on a journey of remembrance from exploring identity politics, uncovering and befriending the shadow self, watering our roots to our ancestors and earth, showing up as our highest self, integration work, and celebrating us.

We have been conditioned to wear societal masks and to reveal and perform the parts of ourselves that are most accepted. The problem with this is we start to forget the true depth of our beingness and all the unseen intricacies we hold within ourselves.

Authentic living is knowing who you are and being comfortable in your skin. It is courageous and joyful to not have to pretend anymore and be true to our needs. With this awareness comes the power to live in freedom.

This journey is not for the love and light brigade. When conflict arises - rage, pain, grief, fear, jealously, competitiveness - how can we stand in solidarity with our kin? How can we remember who we truly are?

This summit is for womxn of color who are interested to learn from our speakers and workshop hosts on how to embody their truest potential, live in freedom, awaken to their sovereignty, and rejoice in ancestral wisdom and intuitive guides so that they can create a life of freedom and truth.

We are so grateful you are here.

How do I purchase a summit pass?

Summit passes must be purchased by Monday, February 22 at 9 pm PST.

You can purchase your summit pass by clicking here.

The sliding scale pricing of this summit is to provide creative resources for all self-identified womxn of color and we are asking our allies and co-conspirators to pay what they can afford and what feels right.

The more that you are able to pay allows us to continue this work of uplifting and highlighting BIWOC. We can then continue to create events, workshops, and foster this community.

What is included in the summit pass price?

During the week of February 23- 28, you will have access to:

  • 13 pre-recorded video and audio conversations with our Summit Speakers about Authentic Living. These 2-3 Summit Speaker chats range from 40-50 minutes long and will be shared daily. Visit the Speakers page to get to know these brilliant BIWoC leaders.

  • 3-4 live workshops led by Summit facilitators. Check the Workshops page for the complete workshop schedule. We recommend following our Instagram page to stay updated!

  • Care circles and networking opportunities led by WOC Summit friends.

  • Soul Buddy Program: a way for you and (us) to make a new connection, a friend, a co-creator, a more intimate connection especially during this time when we may feel isolated. You will be paired up with someone and this includes a facilitated intro meet-up via Zoom prior to the Summit and special live events for Soul Buddies during the Summit. Visit the Soul Buddy Program page to learn more.

  • Daily journaling prompts available on our Instagram to reflect upon the day’s themes.

  • Replays of speaker interviews and workshops will be available for the three weeks after the summit until Sunday, March 21, 2021.

Where is my money going?

Womxn of Color Summit is run entirely behind-the-scenes by a BIWoC and BIPoC team. Your money is going back towards paying for the BIWoC and BIPoC labor that goes into putting together a week-long event that takes many months of coordinated efforts, including the organizing team, the speakers, and the workshop facilitators.

Womxn of Color Summit also donates a portion of proceeds back to the community through mutual aid efforts and a community fund.

How do I access the Summit?

Upon purchasing your summit pass, you will receive an email with more information sent to the email you registered with.

If you have not received any emails from us, please check your Promotions and Spam folders!

Are replays available for speaker conversations and live workshops?

For The Art of Authentic Living, speaker conversations and workshops will be made available for replay purposes for three weeks after the live Summit, until Sunday, March 21, 2021, at 9 pm PST.

Do I need to be in a certain time zone or part of the world to join this?

No! You can be anywhere in the world and still be a part of the summit.

The 13 speaker interviews will be prerecorded and sent to your email inbox daily. You can watch these anytime during the week of the summit, February 23 to February 28, 2021 (from your bed, couch, or anywhere you would like).

The 3-4 daily live workshops will take place anytime between 8 am PST - 8 pm PST via IG Live and Zoom so make a note in your calendar for the ones you’re interested in participating in. Workshops and times are listed here.

What if I can’t make one of the live workshops?

That’s okay!

The workshop replays, like the speaker interviews, will be available for three weeks after the Summit ends.

Please don’t feel like you need to attend every single workshop! With the number of workshops, we recommend choosing a few to participate in and going in with intention and openness.

What is the refund policy?

All summit pass sales are final.

Do you offer scholarships?

For any and all womxn and non-binary people of color, there is an option to attend the summit for a subsidized rate if finances are an obstacle. At this time, we are asking resource-privileged folks interested in attending to purchase a higher costing summit pass in order to subsidize the summit passes for womxn of color in financial need.
